In late 2002, Church of God Ministries received notice from the Lilly Endowment that they would receive $1.7 million dollars to develop a program to sustain pastoral excellence. This program was begun in three regional SHAPE Centers: Florida -- Indiana/Illinois/Ohio/Michigan -- Oregon/Washington. It has since been expanded to include three new Centers: California/Nevada --Tennessee --Kansas/Oklahoma.
